EXPIRED: 01/31/10 – Robyn Whitehead, 27, Pete Doherty’s close friend and member of the one of the richest families in Great Britain was found lifeless in her messy apartment in Hackney, East London.
Drugs paraphernalia was discovered around her body.
A photographer and film-maker, Whitehead followed in her father’s footsteps. In the 1960’s Peter Whitehead was also a filmmaker and was also known to dabble in drugs. She was also the granddaughter of the late Teddy Goldsmith, the older brother of billionaire financier Sir James Goldsmith.
The younger Whitehead had recently directed the documentary “The Road To Albion” which followed Doherty in the years after he left his band, The Libertines.
The news comes a day after Pete Doherty in court for heroin possession. As he was leaving court, he accidently dropped a packet of the drugs from his pocket and it was discovered he had a dozen more that he took into court with him.
