EXPIRED: 07/08/11 – Kenny Baker, 85, was a fiddler born to a fiddler who cut his very first recordings with Monroe’s Bluegrass Boys in 1957. He later played played dobro for Lester Flatt & Earl Scruggs as a Foggy Mountain Boy. He was named to the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Honor in ’99 and recorded two great songs just a decade ago: “Cotton Baggin’ 2000” and “Spider Bit the Baby.” He was probably the most influential bluegrass fiddler America has ever seen.
