EXPIRED: 08/30/11 – Peggy Lloyd, 98, met her husband, Norman, while they were co-starring in the Broadway play “Crime”, directed by Elia Kazan. After they married the couple appeared in many productions of the Federal Theatre Project. Before joining the Orson Welles theater company, Mercury Theatre, Lloyd starred in the Broadway productions of ‘Having Wonderful Time’ and ‘Romeo and Juliet’.

A close friend of Alfred Hitchcock, Lloyd directed many of his television series episodes. In 2007, the couple appeared in the documentary ‘Who Is Norman Lloyd?’ It was her last appearance. Norman, now 96, recalls that marrying an older woman has it’s advantages. Their union lasted 75 years.
